True rhythmical games, songs, movement and the use of percussion instruments the toddlers get playfully introduced to the basics of music making: pulse, tempo, dynamics, timbre and pitch ( hi and low). Martin also uses finger poppets in his sessions to interact and sing with the Toddlers.

Learn to Drum – Lots of Fun!
This fun drumming class introduces the children to the exiting world of rhythms. The rhythms thought are inspired by african and brazilian drumming traditions as well as more contemporary styles of rhythms. The workshops are tailored to the children's age and abilities. Younger children explore the basics of music making (pulse, tempo, dynamics, timbre and pitch (high and low), playfully learn to co-create, to listen, to give and take space and build up an understanding of the fundamentals of music. Older children learn more complex rhythms and rhythm arrangements.The Children are introduced to different Percussion Instruments and techniques. As the children gain confidence they will be encouraged and helped to make up there own rhythms.

All Instruments Provided. Martin's Classes are interactive, highly educational and LOTS OF FUN!
First try out €4. Booking is essential.
Regular Adult classes are held at the Percussion Workshop for beginners and advanced.
Martin likes to strike a balance between fun and education teaching rhythms from Brazil, Cuba and west Africa mixed with more contemporary styles such as hip hop funk and reggae depending on the interest of the students.
Beginners always start of with an easy exessable fun rhythm. Please contact me to find out about new beginners courses.

You will be introduced to some exiting rhythms from Africa and Brazil.
This class is also recomended as an introduction for peoples who want to join Splanc - the Dingle Carnival Band.
The classes are educational, interactive and most of all LOTS OF FUN!!
All instruments are provided. No previous experience required.
Costs for the 5 week course is €45 or €10 pay as you go
